When Laura and I went to see Pearl Jam in Memphis on their Binaural tour, we took several notes. While Sonic Youth played, we created our own setlist with such gems as "feedback Frenzy", etc, mocking such a ho rrible band!1 when Pearl Jam played, I would yell out the name of each song as quickly as I could, while Laura would record the name of the song as well as the time (in seconds) it took me to recognize it. cool. Our seats in the Pyramid were pretty shitty but I still did all the hardcore fan concert moves, several of which i still remember:

1. During "Animal" one should count to five on one's fingers in accordance to "One, Two Three Four Five Against One, Five, Five, Five Against One"

2. During "elderly woman behind the counter in a small town" (did i seriously get that right??) one should stand up and raise one's arm when the lyrics " I just want to scream, "Hello!" are sung.

3. During "wishlist", one performs a variation on #2 during "I wish i was the grounds? for 50 million hands upraised and open to the sky"

that's all i can remember. maybe some more pearl jam memories will become mysteriously unrepressed. let's hope for all our sakes they do!1
